Dr. Nevins has been in private practice since 1997. He strongly believes modern treatment approaches based on the latest advances in biotechnology and clinical science are the gateway to providing the best patient care. His clinical research focuses on developing a better understanding of the best implant delivery techniques, the use of growth factors to stimulate regeneration of oral tissue, plus laser assisted therapy and other minimally invasive methods that preserve and improve oral esthetics. The modern minimally invasive periodontal therapies Dr. Nevins provides gives patients long-lasting, highly esthetic results.

EDUCATION, AWARDS AND SERVICE

Dr. Nevins graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, then earned his Certificate for Graduate Training in Periodontology and a Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is internationally renowned as a leader in his field, has served on numerous major professional committees and regularly conducts peer-education lectures and training sessions.

Dr. Nevins has served as Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry since 2011. In addition to his education and service, Dr. Nevins is a two-time winner of the American Academy of Periodontology’s R. Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award and is a 2017 recipient of the Clinical Research Award for the publication of “A randomized, controlled, multicenter clinical trial of post-extraction alveolar ridge preservation.”
